Paul is the president of Carma Laboratories, Inc. located in Franklin, Wisconsin founded by his grandfather Alfred Woelbing in 1937. Prior to joining Carma Laboratories, Paul taught upper school studio art at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Philadelphia from 1983 to 1987. From 1987 through 1991 Paul taught both lower and upper school art at the Friends Seminary in Manhattan. Paul’s last teaching job was at Whitefish Bay High School in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin during the 1991/1992 school year. In 1992 Paul joined the family business. He also had a blue-ribbon goose at the Wisconsin State Fair in 1967.

Paul lives in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and enjoys his hobbies of collecting and working on vintage motorcycles and automated musical instruments.

Rich is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Carma Laboratories (Carmex). He reports directly to 3rd generation owners; Paul Woelbing (President) and Eric Woelbing (CEO). Rich has broad responsibility across the organization. Rich joined Carmex in 2011 as the operation’s executive and was promoted to his current position in 2014. Rich began his career as a Manufacturing Engineer at a medical extrusion company in Milwaukee, WI before spending 17 years in the Automotive Industry near Lake Geneva, Wi. Rich has worked in evolving family businesses for the majority of his career. He is active with the Franklin Business Park Consortium, Consumer Healthcare Products Association, Wisconsin Technical Institute, Franklin High School, and Vistage/TEC executive group.

Rich is married to Kris (28 yrs) and has three children, Kayla, Michael, and Jonathan. He and his wife reside in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and are originally from the Chippewa Valley region of Northwestern Wisconsin.

Join us as Paul Woelbing, President, and Rich Simonson, COO, tell the Carmex story and talk about the challenges associated with running a successful 3rd Generation family business. They will share key decisions made along the way contributing to their evolution and success, along with where the brand and company are today and how values drive their success.
