ACG UK (formerly the Corporate Development Association) provides practitioners of corporate development, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, with their own association.
ACG UK's aims are simple, to provide opportunities:
to network
to inform
to 'lightly' educate.
In due course, we hope to influence those who make regulations and laws on matters that affect practitioners of corporate development.
ACG UK's inaugural meeting was held on 10 June 1999 at the Institute of Directors.
Membership is open to individuals practising corporate development for:
Quoted and larger unquoted businesses ("corporates")
Venture capital providers
Service providers - e.g. investment bankers, corporate finance firms, accountants, consultants, business brokers.
Whilst membership is open to individuals who work in venture capital and in service providers, ACG UK has a strong preference for members from the corporate community. In this context we have set a rule that membership applications will be accepted on the basis of maintaining a minimum ratio of two members from corporates to every one from venture capital and service providers.
ACG UK has a growing membership of about 100 professionals.
ACG UK meets five times a year at a central London venue.
Typical meetings include a speaker, a question and answer session, followed by a drinks and light buffet. Meetings are usually held at lunchtime or sometimes early evening.
ACG UK has been set up under the auspices of the Association for Corporate Growth ("ACG") which is the ACG UK's parent organisation.
Membership of ACG UK currently costs £225 annually, there is no initial joining fee.
If you would like further information about joining or attending our future events, please contact me or any member of the ACG UK Organising Committee.
