A Letter from the ACG 101 Corridor President

To our ACG 101 Corridor members and followers:

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones healthy and well!

As we all do our part to stay “safer at home”, I write to you from my home office in Simi Valley. Like many of you, I am continuing my normal corporate responsibilities remotely, navigating virtual meetings on Zoom and MS Teams with kids and dogs wandering in and out of the background, juggling my new homeschooling responsibilities, and hoping to catch Vons at that golden moment when essentials have just been restocked…

Exactly three weeks ago, we held what ended up being one of the last business networking events in the area, our first ever ACG 101 Music Industry Panel. It was a hugely successful event with discussion from music industry leaders, a great crowd, networking and camaraderie, and a jam session that showcased musical talent from the C-Suite. Little did we know how quickly and drastically the world as we knew it would change, literally overnight.

The 101 Corridor is an expansive area. In defining the geography for our ACG chapter, the 101 Corridor goes from the San Fernando Valley through Santa Barbara up to San Luis Obispo, and inland including Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, Moorpark and more. Although the area is vast, we are still a tight-knit community and an even tighter business community. We've been through economic ups and downs, the housing crisis, wildfires, mudslides, and the Borderline tragedy, yet we pull together time and time again, supporting the individuals and the businesses that make up this determined and resilient community. Through the challenging times, we tend to see the best come out in people. We see ingenuity and creativity as individuals and local corporations step up to be a part of the solution, and we are once again seeing that throughout the 101 Corridor today.

So, how does COVID-19 affect ACG 101 and what do we plan to do?

We kicked off 2020 with four stellar events under our belt – we plan to maintain that momentum and engagement, and be prepared to jump back in with a lineup of relevant and important programs, and opportunities to network and reconnect as soon as we are given the green light!

  • 2020 ACG Calendar – we will be reassessing the entire 2020 calendar to ensure that we cover relevant and timely topics and will reissue the updated calendar as soon as it is practical to confirm dates.
  • Staying Connected – we will be sharing regular and relevant updates through LinkedIn, Facebook, and email distribution. Please follow us here: LinkedIn  Facebook
  • Providing Relevant Content – stay tuned for information on Webinars and links to relevant information for the business and M&A community.
  • Spotlighting the 101 Corridor – we will be highlighting our valued sponsors, Board members, and companies throughout the 101 Corridor through our communication, so please send stories and press releases to: kshue@acg.org
ACG 101 is committed to supporting the business leaders and corporations that call the 101 Corridor home. We look forward to staying connected virtually until we can reconnect in person again soon!

Be well,
Andrea Light
