  • Represented Gentiva Health Services, Inc., as borrower, in a $925 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to fund Gentiva’s $408.8 million acquisition of Harden Healthcare Holdings.
  • Represented Amaya Gaming Group, Inc. in the financing of the $4.9 billion acquisition of The Oldford Group Limited (Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker). The representation won the 2014 Debt Financing Deal of the Year at the M&A Advisor's 13th Annual Advisor Awards for the senior secured financing.
  • Represented an international bank as administrative agent, lead arranger and bookrunner in the U.S. equivalent of approximately $450 million syndicated senior secured multicurrency cross-border credit facility to a sugar processing and manufacturing company and certain of its U.S., Canadian, Luxembourg and U.K. subsidiaries.
  • Represented an international bank as administrative agent and lead arranger in a $637.5 million syndicated senior secured first-lien and $80 million senior secured second-lien credit facility to a leading grain and flour producer and certain of its subsidiaries to finance an acquisition of other grain and flour companies.
  • Represented the Mexico representative office of an international bank, as administrative agent, joint bookrunner and joint lead arranger, in the U.S. equivalent of approximately $650 million multicurrency senior secured credit facility provided by a syndicate of U.S. and Mexican financial institutions to a group of Mexican companies in the meat processing industry.
  • Represented an international bank as administrative agent and joint lead arranger in a $900 million syndicated senior secured multicurrency cross-border credit facility to a leading food services company and certain of its U.K., Dutch and Luxembourg subsidiaries.
  • Represented a national bank as administrative agent and lead arranger in a $80 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to a global music publishing company and certain of its U.S., U.K., Anguillan and Luxembourg subsidiaries.
  • Represented a major data center development and design company, as borrower, in connection with a $600 million syndicated senior secured credit facility.

Katie is a Vice President and Relationship Manager in SunTrust’s Commercial Bank. She is responsible for forming and maintaining relationships with middle market companies and providing business owners with creative and tailored banking solutions to meet their specific needs. She primarily covers restaurants and food / beverage companies in Atlanta and is also working to expand SunTrust’s presence in Birmingham across industry verticals.

Prior to joining SunTrust in 2017, Katie spent five years at Prudential Capital Group, the private debt investment arm of Prudential Financial, Inc. At Prudential, Katie was part of a team responsible for originating, underwriting, and managing private senior debt, mezzanine, and equity investments throughout the Southeast.

Katie received a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia, and holds her Chartered Financial Analyst certification.

As a member of Cherry Bekaert’s Assurance practice, Matt has led audit and consulting engagements with public and private middle-market companies, with a focus on technology, health and life sciences and industrial manufacturing companies. Clients consist of multi-national
and international companies including publicly traded SEC registrants along with private equity backed and closely held companies.

Matt also has experience as a Controller and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at a biotechnology company performing monthly financial reporting, the annual budget, ongoing forecasting activities and process implementation which further enables him to quickly understand his clients’ challenges and perspectives.

He serves as a technical resource in complex accounting matters and SEC regulations. In addition, he has extensive experience with revenue recognition, business combinations, consolidations, debt and equity transactions, income tax provisions, financial reporting including SEC
reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements to help guide and advise his clients and their businesses.
