John Gregg

John N. Gregg is President and Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey (“STRH”), SunTrust’s full service corporate and investment banking platform.  John’s prior responsibilities within STRH include Head of Corporate Banking and Head of Capital Markets. 

Prior to joining SunTrust in February 2006, John spent 17 years at Bank of America, where he was instrumental in growing the loan syndications business.  He held a variety of leadership positions in origination and sales and trading during his career, including managing the bank’s European loan syndications business in London, England for a number of years. 

John earned a Bachelor’s Degree from North Carolina State University in 1984 and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 1989.  John serves as a board member for the Grady Health Foundation and previously served on the board of Trees Atlanta.  John and his wife Bessie have three children and reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
