Shane Dunn (Moderator)

Partner

Shane advises public and private companies on acquisition, divestiture and financing transactions primarily in the energy services sector. He is also responsible for sourcing, structuring, valuation and financial modelling of transactions. Shane joined EY in January 2005 and previously worked at a large Canadian bank and served as the director of M&A for a major Canadian insurance company. Shane has a Bachelor of Corporate Finance from the Gerald Schwartz School of Business at St. Francis Xavier University

Ryan Giles

Senior Managing Director

Ryan Giles joined TriWest in 2006. Prior to joining TriWest, Ryan was an Associate with Onex Corporation, where he was actively involved in evaluating and conducting due diligence for new investment opportunities for Onex Partners Fund 1. Previously, he had worked in the Canada Group of Morgan Stanley and was involved in various M&A and financing-related assignments.

Ryan graduated with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, with an Honors degree in Business Administration. He received his A.B., Economics and Math, from Bowdoin College.

Stephen O'Hara

Stephen O’Hara is a Vice President at The Riverside Company in San Francisco. He joined the firm in 2014 and has over five years of private equity experience at the smaller end of the middle market. Stephen is responsible for originating investment opportunities and developing intermediary relationships throughout the Western United States and Canada. He is also a member of the firm’s global healthcare industry specialization team. He earned a BBA in Finance and Minor in Chinese from the University of Notre Dame.

Hai Tran-Viet

Hai is primarily focused on leading the investment team’s activities in transaction origination, execution, and portfolio management. In addition, he assists the CEO in management of the Fund.

Hai joins CBGF with over 17 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. He is passionate about working with entrepreneurs and has a track-record as an active partner with portfolio companies.

Prior to CBGF, Hai worked at Regimen Equity Partners, Signal Hill Equity Partners, and TD Capital (TD Bank’s merchant banking group). Hai graduated with an MBA from Columbia Business School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
