Mr. Buchanan is a Partner and has been with the firm since 2006. Mr. Buchanan started with PPHB as an analyst and worked his way up through the ranks of Associate and Vice President and ultimately was promoted to Partner in 2014. His responsibilities include managing the operating staff, leading and supporting transactions as well as sourcing new clients. Mr. Buchanan grew up in the energy industry and has always had a keen interest in the segment. Mr. Buchanan received his BBA in finance from Texas A&M University and MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

Prior to joining SCF, Hossam founded O&G Technologies, a Houston based technology incubator focused on the oil and gas industry. He has over 24 years’ experience in the energy sector, technology development, and commercialization. Hossam has served as Senior Operating Partner at Lime Rock Partners and as CEO of Tercel Oilfield Products, which was acquired in May 2016. Prior to these roles, Hossam spent nearly 17 years at Schlumberger where he served as Vice President of Manufacturing as well as managed the company’s leading-edge Rosharon Technology Center and the Houston Product Center.

Hossam received an MBA and Masters in Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree from Ain Shams University, Egypt.

Riaz Siddiqi is one of the Founders and Managing Partner Emeritus of Denham Capital. He has around 40 years of experience in the energy and asset management fields. Currently, he serves as Chairman of Clovis Point Capital, a PE firm investing in software and tech-enabled service companies, an Advisor to Blue Bear Capital, a VC firm focused on energy tech investments, and Chairman of Epochal Technologies, a big data analytics firm focused on developing ethically derived databases of American consumers.

Riaz also serves as Chairman of the Board of the American Pakistan Foundation and is also a member of the Board of the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution. He is a member of BENS, Business Executives for National Security, an organization of private sector leaders that offer their expertise pro bono to the U.S Government on National Security matters. Riaz is also a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, Pilots for Patients and Veterans Airlift Command and is a recipient of the Asia Society Houston Center’s award for leadership in business and philanthropy. He is also a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Interfaith Ministry of Greater Houston.

Sanjiv Shah joined the energy services and equipment investment banking team at Simmons Energy | A Division of Piper Jaffray℠ in early 2008 and has worked on more than 100 successful M&A, strategic advisory and capital markets projects during that time, including playing a key role on the majority of energy services and equipment U.S. IPOs during 2016, 2017 and 2018. Shah was named co-head of energy investment banking in July of 2019.

Prior to joining the firm, Shah worked for Citigroup for four years in London and Zurich, in fixed income credit markets and the financial institutions group, respectively. In Zurich, he worked as a corporate banker covering the banking and insurance sectors and in London, he worked as a controller for the European global loans and leveraged finance product groups. Shah has more than 15 years of investment banking experience.

Shah is an active member of the Petroleum Equipment & Services Association (“PESA”), among the largest trade associations for the energy services and equipment industry, serving on its emerging leaders committee from 2015 to 2017 and on the advisory board since 2017. He received PESA’s Industry Innovated award in 2019. Shah has also served on the board of directors for the Association of Corporate Growth (“ACG”) Houston Chapter since 2018 and was part of the deal team that won ACG New York’s Cross-Border Transaction of the Year award in 2017. In 2018, he was named a 40 under 40 honoree by both the Houston Business Journal and Oil & Gas Investor, and a finalist for ACG Houston Oil & Gas Deal of the Year.

Shah is originally from Manchester, England and graduated with a bachelor’s degree with honors in economics from the University of Manchester.
