R. Ramsey Evans, III is a proven entrepreneur and business leader who has successfully established and grown businesses independently and in collaboration with private equity firms.  

Able to lead in executive operator roles and as a partner in conjunction with private equity firms, Ramsey leads, directs and guides companies from a background of 20 years of outstanding achievement in all facets of asset performance.  His leadership in diverse elements of business transcend day-to-day operations and lead to market expansion, repositioning, and ultimately, highly profitable enterprises.

In 1999, Ramsey purchased Keais Records Retrieval and developed the small company into Ontellus, the largest tech-enabled medical records company serving the Property & Casualty insurance industry.  Ramsey served as CEO, CFO and Board Member.  During his tenure, Ontellus grew from $240,000 to $100+ million in annual revenues.  Ontellus operated independently until 2015.  In 2015, Ontellus recapitalized and partnered with Capstreet around a build-and-buy strategy.  Ontellus was sold in December of 2019 to Aquiline Partners.  

In July of 2019, Ramsey joined the Jones Capital as an Operating Partner.  As part of the leadership team, Ramsey focuses his time working with tech enabled service and software companies in the lower middle market. 

Ramsey is a graduate of the Executive Master of Business Administration program at the University of Houston and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a concentration in Accounting from Southern Methodist University.  

In addition to serving on professional boards and in advisory roles, Mr. Evans serves on the Audit and Compliance Committee for the Memorial Hermann Hospital System.  Mr. Evans is an avid outdoorsman and is passionate about developing habitat for wildlife.  He resides in Houston with his wife and three children.
