Andy has spent over twenty-four years as an investor in the private investment industry; primarily focused on private equity and family capital investing. Prior to launching Carlson Private Capital with the Carlson family in 2018, Andy was Partner at Norwest Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm headquartered in Minneapolis that has raised over $7.0 billion in capital. Andy has worked closely with founders, management teams and served on numerous boards of private companies across a variety of industries including industrial, distribution, consumer, building products, and business and tech-enabled services. Andy worked earlier in his career at Northwestern Mutual Capital and ABN AMRO.  Andy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his M.B.A from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Mr. McHugh has spent the past 39 years focused on lending to and investing in lower middle market businesses. Mr. McHugh has been focused on investing in the mezzanine space over the past 24 years and, in the past 17 years has been a founder and managing partner of GMB Mezzanine Capital which has raised and invested four separate SBIC buyout mezzanine funds totaling over $1 billion in capital and has invested in approximately 100 middle-market companies throughout the United States.  Prior to GMB Mezzanine Capital, Mr. McHugh was a Managing Principal at Churchill Capital, Inc., a Vice President at U.S. Bank Inc. and a Commercial Banking Officer at Wells Fargo Bank.  Mr. McHugh obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and did graduate work at the University of Nebraska – Omaha.

Anna Sabiston

Anna Sabiston is a Vice President in Corporate Finance for Prudential Private Capital, located in Minneapolis. She leads a team responsible for marketing, originating and managing private placement and mezzanine investments in Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota. Prior to joining Prudential in 2013, Anna owned her own small business and worked in the Private Capital Markets Group at Barclays Capital.

Anna received a BS from the University of Minnesota.
