Overview
The 2027 ACG Next Conference: "The Competition Decade"
The 2027 ACG Next Conference will explore how an era of strategic competition is redefining the future of national security, technology, and the global economy. As competition among near-peer adversaries intensifies, maintaining America's advantage will require far more than military strength alone. Leadership in this new era will be determined by the ability to innovate faster, attract investment, develop talent, strengthen industrial capacity, and rapidly transition emerging technologies from concept to operational capability.
This year's conference will examine how government, industry, and the investment community can work together to strengthen America's competitive advantage, accelerate the commercialization of dual-use technologies, modernize the defense industrial base, and ensure the United States remains the global leader in innovation, economic security, and national defense.
Our panels will focus on the following topics:
- Strategic Competition in a Multipolar World — How competition among near-peer adversaries is reshaping national security, deterrence, and the global technology landscape.
- Capital as a Strategic Advantage — The growing role of private equity, venture capital, the Office of Strategic Capital, and public-private partnerships in accelerating defense innovation.
- Building America's Competitive Edge — Modernizing the defense industrial base through advanced manufacturing, resilient supply chains, workforce development, and production at scale.
- Innovation at Mission Speed — Procurement reform, OTAs, CSOs, SBIR, and new acquisition models that accelerate the transition from prototype to production.
- The Next Frontiers of Competition — Artificial intelligence, autonomy, cyber, space, energy security, and the technologies that will define the next decade of strategic competition.
- The Washington Advantage — How policy, government affairs, regulatory modernization, and the National Capital Region's innovation ecosystem are shaping the future of defense and national security.
Keynote speakers and panelists to be announced soon.
