Jeff Russell currently serves as the President and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Jeff was actively involved with the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative as Board Chairman and Annual Walk Co-Chair from September 2017 to July 2023. Jeff also played a key role in founding the Global Insurance Accelerator, serving as Founding Board Chairman while remaining a Board Member. Additionally, Jeff held the positions of President and CEO at Delta Dental of Iowa and Board Director at Delta Dental Plans Association from May 2013 to July 2023. Earlier career roles include Chief Strategy Officer at Affiliates Management Company and various leadership positions at TMG Financial Services and The Members Group. Jeff holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Science from Drake University and has completed Executive Education at Harvard University in Leading Change and Organizational Renewal.
