The One Big Beautiful Bill is now law, and true to its name, it’s big, complex, and packed with significant tax changes that could impact your business, clients, and personal finances.

Warren Averett is pulling together and hosting some of the most credentialed and experienced tax advisors in the Southeast for a comprehensive panel designed to help you:

David LeGrand is a Member in Warren Averett's Tax Division and has more than 25 years of public accounting experience. David’s responsibilities include consultation and compliance on federal and state corporate and partnership tax matters, as well as mergers and acquisitions and transactional work. His experience includes tax work in the technology, hospitality and manufacturing and distribution industries. David works with clients to plan for tax-efficient transactions and for opportunities in the law to save tax on ongoing operations year round. His practice includes extensive experience in tax due diligence projects for both buy-side and sell-side deals. David also works with clients to structure and provide cash forecasting with sale models for corporate and partnership asset and equity transactions.

Lisa Billings joined Warren Averett in 2005 and is a Member in the firm's Tax Division and one of the firm's Real Estate Practice Leaders. Lisa primarily focuses on clients in the real estate and private equity arena. Prior to joining the firm, Lisa spent several years at Arthur Andersen LLP and a commercial real estate firm in Charlotte, NC. She focuses her practice on the taxation of pass-through entities and helps her clients with mergers and acquisitions, entity structure, international tax planning, federal and state tax planning. Lisa works with real estate firms in commercial and multi-family real estate through all phases of the project to provide the most tax efficient structuring on acquisitions and dispositions. She offers expertise with like-kind exchanges and has served as the firm's Tax Best Practice Leader. Lisa resides in Birmingham with her husband and two children.

Claiborne Morris joined Warren Averett in 2012 and is a Member in the firm’s Tax Division. He has more than 10 years of public accounting experience. Claiborne leads the firm’s Construction Industry Group, specializing in large projects. He is also a member of the firm’s Real Estate Industry Group and Transaction Advisory Practice. Claiborne’s primary responsibilities include preparing taxes, creating tax plans and effectively executing tax planning strategies. As an engagement leader, he works to ensure that clients' deliverables and experiences exceed their expectations.

Adam West joined Warren Averett in 2011 and is a Member in the firm’s Tax Division. He has more than 14 years of public accounting experience and focuses his practice on serving companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, professional services, hospitality and technology. Adam leads the firm’s Tax Best Practice Leadership Group, which is aimed at implementing best practices and monitoring technical tax matters for the firm’s Tax Division. Adam has also authored numerous articles on COVID-19 relief, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, and other technical tax topics. He is also proficient in identifying tax incentives and improved filing positions on a current and ongoing basis for continued tax savings. Adam resides with his wife, son and daughter in Birmingham, where he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family outdoors.
