In May 2025, he launched Harbinger Sports Partners (HSP)—a $750M private equity fund to invest in U.S. professional sports teams—alongside Mark Cuban and Steve Cannon.
With a portfolio spanning over 170 investments and more than 50 successful exits, Williams brings a proven track record of value creation and strategic insight to the fund’s leadership team. He is a frequent CNBC investment contributor and recurring guest Shark on ABC’s Shark Tank. Rashaun is a thought leader on illiquid secondary investing strategies and a minority owner of the Atlanta Falcons.

Williams is the founder of Value Investment Group, a family office with a robust alternative investments strategy, and a limited partner in the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons. He gained early recognition as a co-founder of Queensbridge Venture Partners, where he backed category-defining companies including Robinhood, Coinbase, Ring, PillPack, Lyft, and Dropbox. In 2018, he was named Black Enterprise’s Investor of the Year for his impact on the venture ecosystem and role in democratizing access to capital. Rashaun’s sports investments include the Atlanta Falcons but also indirect investments into the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets & Sacramento Kings.
With over two decades of experience, Williams began his finance career on Wall Street with Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and Wachovia Securities. In 2007, he launched Dixsville Partners, a private equity firm focused on infrastructure and mineral investments in West Africa, highlighting his global perspective on impact investing.

A passionate advocate for financial education and economic mobility, Williams founded the Kemet Institute in 2001, a nonprofit that delivers financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and life skills to underserved communities and schools.
