Abbey Donnell

Work&
Founder and CEO

Abbey Donnell is the Founder and CEO of Work&, a platform that helps employers modernize support for working parents, caregivers, and employee wellbeing at scale. Work& partners with enterprise employers and landlords to operationalize compliant wellness programs, reducing HR burden while driving retention and return-to-office outcomes.

Prior to founding Work&, Abbey built her career in marketing and brand strategy. She holds a BS and BA in Advertising and Spanish from the University of Colorado at Boulder, an MBA from Rice University, and is a Certified Lactation Counselor. Abbey is also a working mother herself, bringing direct, lived experience to the problems Work& is built to solve.

Event Secondary Body

When Abbey Donnell launched Work & Mother, it was built to support working mothers navigating one of the most pivotal transitions of their careers.  What followed was something bigger: a realization that the challenges facing working mothers were not isolated, but rather the most visible symptom of a workplace not designed for the realities of employees’ lives. In this discussion, the founder of Work& shares the company’s origin story, the lessons learned from supporting thousands of working mothers, and why the business evolved to address the broader needs of women and employees across every life stage. The conversation explores wellness not as a perk, but as infrastructure — and why organizations that fail to evolve their approach to employee support risk losing top talent, productivity, and long-term value.
