Partner

Clients turn to Daniel Layfield to structure and close complex transactions. He advises on private equity platform and add-on acquisitions and divestitures, mergers, venture capital investments, debt financing, stock and asset purchases, and general corporate needs. He has a deep understanding of buy-and-build strategies in the healthcare, financial services, consumer, and real estate sectors. His clients include global, national, and regional companies and investment firms. 

Daniel spent a substantial portion of his career at leading New York law firms before moving back to South Carolina, where he grew up. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College and his law degree from the University of Virginia.

Olivia Daly focuses her practice on corporate, business, and transactional law, where she represents clients ranging from large and small corporations to financial institutions.

Olivia advises clients on complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and the formation of joint ventures. She regularly assists clients with legal needs that develop in the daily operation of a business, advising on commercial contracts, corporate governance, shareholder disputes, and a variety of issues that business clients face.

Olivia also assists clients from various sides of new markets tax credits transactions, advising parties such as the QALICB/borrower, leverage lender, source lender, and community development entity (CDE).

She represents commercial lenders and borrowers in various financing transactions and also advises funders and borrowers in the evolving world of litigation finance.

Olivia co-chairs Parker Poe's Associates Committee and sits on the firm's Recruiting Committee. Outside of the firm, Olivia is part of a young professionals group with the Historic Charleston Foundation.

Olivia received her law degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. While in law school, she was a clerk for the Honorable Tilman E. Self in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Prior to attending law school, Olivia worked for a government contracting agency in Washington, DC. She is also a graduate of Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in economics.

Peter Wright

Mr. Wright has been an owner / operator, entrepreneur and officer of Lionbridge Technologies, a public company which he was a founding member of the management team. A former client of Anderson LeNeave & Co., he joined the firm in 2008. Prior to joining Anderson LeNeave he was the founder of Trinity Security, a company which he sold to Diebold (DBD) New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2006.

Pete advises client on merger and acquisition transactions as well as acquisition financing, recapitalization and growth strategy. His operational, sales and marketing experience allow him to provide a unique perspective to his clients not commonly found among investment bankers.

Maura Pope

Maura Pope is a Business Development Officer with Truist Corporate Trust and Escrow Services, offering clients more than 22 years of institutional trust and escrow experience. She joined Truist’s predecessor firm, BB&T, in 1998, and over the course of her career has worked with middle market and large corporate clients across the Southeast and Midwest.

Gordon Maner

Healthcare Investor and Financial Services Leader

Gordon is a Partner at Frontline Healthcare Partners and is the Chief Executive Officer of AMB group of companies. Gordon started his career having founded the Investment Banking division at AMB and its predecessor firm, Plutus Capital Partners. Gordon has a strong track record in investment banking and entrepreneurship, having found his own firm at 27 and initiating several healthcare start-ups since. Gordon focuses on strategy, the management of client relationships and transaction execution. In his career, Gordon has played a pivotal role in the consolidation of the walk-in medical industry, having advised multiple industry participants, including vertical integration strategies between payors and providers, many of whom have become the largest companies in the industry. Gordon is an avid public speaker and is frequently quoted in industry publications about various healthcare sectors. Gordon attended the University of Georgia where he was recently awarded the 40 Under 40 award, and he resides with his wife, son and daughter in Charleston, SC.
