Keshia Theobald-van Gent leads a team of investors at BDev Ventures, having spent her first year at the firm building out the Portfolio Success Team.
She previously served as the Sr. Director of the United States at German Accelerator where she led teams in NYC and Silicon Valley to help high-potential European startups enter the US.
And, as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at GSVlabs, where she connected the world’s largest companies to the global startup community, accelerated new products, and generated real ROI through digital innovation.
She holds an M.A. from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and has lived and worked in the US, Asia, and Europe. She loves to travel, cook for family and friends, and is currently excited about Crossfit.
KYLE HUTCHINSON, Vice President @ Lateral Investment Management
Kyle Hutchinson is a Vice President at Lateral Investment Management. Kyle leads Lateral's deal origination activities for new platform investments and add-on acquisitions for existing portfolio companies. Before Lateral, Kyle was a senior associate at K1 Investment Management, a private equity firm with over $13 billion in assets under management. At K1, Kyle was responsible for identifying and evaluating buyouts and growth investments in enterprise software companies. Prior to K1, Kyle worked as an Assistant Vice President at Franklin Templeton Investments and began his career at J.P. Morgan Securities.
Kyle holds a degree in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where he graduated Cum Laude. Outside the office, Kyle enjoys pursuing his passions, which include cooking, golfing, skiing, and spending time with his wife, son, and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Kyle is currently in possession of the 2024 Lateral Fantasy Football trophy.

Preetha Ram, PhD, is a Managing Partner at Pier 70 Ventures, where she architects the "Future of Health" through a high-impact 3D investment strategy focused on the convergence of Drugs, Devices, and Digital Health.
A driving force for gender equity in finance, Preetha is actively building a powerful community of women VCs in the Valley, leveraging her role as an LP in How Women Invest and her leadership on the Board of TiE Silicon Valley to mentor the next generation of female check-writers.
A Yale-trained scientist and exit-tested CEO, she previously scaled the learning platform OpenStudy to 60 million global users, securing multimillion-dollar backing from the NSF, NIH, and the Gates Foundation. Today, she bridges the gap between cutting-edge research from top-tier universities and global Fortune 200 networks, serving as a Director for Pelvital and a strategic advisor to disruptive health-tech startups.

Adam Fauvre is a seasoned leader in audit, tax, and consulting, serving as a Director at RSM US LLP, where he is dedicated to delivering tailored insights and solutions to Silicon Valley companies. With a strong belief in "The Power of Being Understood," Adam collaborates with businesses to help them make confident decisions about their future.
Adam’s extensive career spans leadership roles at top organizations. Prior to joining RSM, he served as Vice President and Senior Client Solutions Director at Robert Half Management Resources, where he specialized in building client relationships and delivering impactful solutions. His professional journey also includes roles at Natixis Global Asset Management and Wells Fargo, reflecting his deep expertise in financial analysis, operations, and project management.
In addition to his professional work, Adam is deeply committed to community and industry engagement. He serves on multiple boards, including the Board of Directors for Financial Executives International, Silicon Valley, the Advisory Board for ACG Silicon Valley, and the Advisory Board for Life Science Cares Bay Area.
