Grant O’Connor is an entrepreneur and investor with over 18 years of Capital Markets experience in both the public and private markets. He has a diverse knowledge of various sectors ranging from Emerging Markets to Resources, Energy and Supply Chain Finance, focusing on Debt and Equity for companies raising capital.

Mr. O’Connor originally started his career as a retail broker, helping high-net worth individuals with their stock, hedge fund, and mutual fund portfolios.

In 2019, Mr. O’Connor Co-Founded Theon Capital, a boutique Merchant Bank focused on the lower middle market, and Private sector transactions. Theon Capital conducts due diligence, sourcing, working alongside a single-Family Office. In 2024, Theon Capital merged into FMI Securities, a Canadian and U.S broker dealer that specializes in Debt and Equity Capital markets with transactions ranging from $1-250mm.

As a Partner and Head of Debt Capital Markets at FMI Securities, he is responsible for Originations, Sales, and Credit focused capital advisory.

He is based in Florida but has worked in Canada and the United States.

Roman Petty serves as a broker with Lockton Companies, where he helps middle-market organizations optimize risk management programs to protect cash flow, enhance enterprise value, and support growth objectives. A lifelong West Palm Beach resident, Roman has spent more than a decade partnering with business owners, private equity firms, and management teams on insurance and risk financing strategies. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, fishing, and connecting with fellow professionals throughout South Florida's thriving business community.
