Body

Make plans to join us at Rodefer Moss on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 11:30-1:00 ET, for the ACG TN Lunch & Learn featuring Wayne Wilson.

Wayne Wilson is the Founder and Principal of Wilson Value Advisory, a Knoxville-based advisory practice that helps founders, management teams, private equity sponsors, and middle-market businesses sharpen strategic clarity, financial visibility, and value-creation execution. He works at the intersection of the operator and the investor, helping each side better understand the other's priorities, constraints, and language.

Wayne brings more than 20 years of experience across private equity, founder-led businesses, sponsor-backed companies, and public company environments. He spent nearly fourteen years as Chief Financial Officer of Malibu Boats (NASDAQ: MBUU), where he helped scale the company from roughly $60 million in revenue as a founder-led private business into a $1.4 billion public company with nearly 4,000 employees and eight consumer brands. During his tenure he led the company’s IPO, drove over 1,000 basis points of EBITDA margin expansion, and led six acquisitions of founder- and family-run businesses. He was recognized on Institutional Investor’s 2021 All-America Executive Team.

More recently, Wayne served as CFO of PetSafe Brands, a Clayton, Dubilier & Rice portfolio company, where he led a $925 million refinancing in challenging market conditions. Earlier in his career, he was a private equity and mezzanine investor at Black Canyon Capital in Los Angeles and began his career in investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston. He holds a B.A. in Business Economics from UCLA.
