The New Era of Capital: Family Offices and the Rise of Next Gen Wealth

A new era of capital is taking shape. Fueled by founder exits, patient and flexible family capital is multiplying — and increasingly seeking direct access and co-investment opportunities. And, as private equity distributions have slowed and liquidity remains constrained, family offices have expanded in influence, bringing patient, flexible capital into the middle market.

At the same time, the greatest wealth transfer in history is underway. Over the next two decades, $100 trillion will move from one generation to the next, with an estimated $70 trillion expected to land in the hands of women. For the first time, next-gen inheritors, entrepreneurs, and women wealth holders have the opportunity to shape the flow of capital at scale.

Heidi Nel, COO of New Theory Ventures, will explore how these forces are converging to reshape dealmaking — why family offices matter more than ever, how next-gen allocators are changing the landscape, and why this moment represents a new framework for the future of wealth.
