Jim Craig

Mr. Craig joined BankUnited in February 2018, to establish, build and manage the bank’s middle market healthcare lending business.  Mr. Craig has worked exclusively in healthcare finance since 1990.  He began his career as AVP in the Health/Med Group of a $30Billion regional bank in NJ.  He then worked as a portfolio manager for a NY based healthcare asset based lender.  Thereafter Mr. Craig served as Senior Credit Officer for a PA based healthcare asset based lender, and as a VP at Daiwa Securities America, where he was responsible for originating, underwriting and managing a portfolio of healthcare asset based loan clients.  In 2000 Mr. Craig and three partners established Healthcare Finance Group, Inc. (“HFG”), a specialty finance company that provided asset based and cash flow based loans exclusively to healthcare service businesses nationally.  At HFG Mr. Craig served as Executive Vice President, responsible for all sales and marketing activities of the company.  Mr. Craig was also a member of the credit committee, and board of directors at HFG, and was actively involved in all debt and equity capital raising efforts at HFG.  In 2013 HFG was sold to Fifth Street Finance (NASDAQ: FSC) for $116 Million.  More recently, Mr. Craig spent five and a half years as Vice President-Middle Market Healthcare at Fifth Third Bank in South Florida where he was responsible to establish, maintain and grow financial relationships with healthcare companies that generate $50–500 Million in annual revenues.

 

Mr. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Manhattan College, where his concentration was in Marketing.  Mr. Craig also attended Rutgers University, Graduate School of Management, where he concentrated in Finance.

Joshua Kaye concentrates his practice in healthcare mergers and acquisitions and the development of innovative business models within the healthcare industry.

Joshua advises clients in all aspects of federal and state healthcare regulatory matters, including anti-kickback, self referral laws, state licensure, Corporate Practice of Medicine and Dentistry, Certificate of Need, insurance laws and HIPAA.

Richard Sacher

Richard Sacher is an audit partner based on Grant Thornton LLP’s Miami office.  He has over 25 years working in the healthcare sector and leads Grant Thornton LLP’s healthcare practice for the state of Florida.  Within the healthcare sector, he has advised entities in a broad range of sub-sectors including services, technology, managed care, durable medical equipment and pharmacy suppliers, bio-tech companies, and distributors, as well as for-profit and not-for-profit health care providers, ranging from stand-alone facilities to entire hospital systems.  The majority of Richard’s time is spent serving acquisitive, founder, venture, or private equity backed entities in this sector.  Richard is a CPA who recived a Bachelors of Business Administration, Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters in Accountancy from Florida International University.

Scott Saunders

Scott joined Farlie Turner & Co. in 2006. Since 1989, he has served as a financial and strategic advisor to middle market companies across a variety of industries, including companies in the healthcare, business services, consumer products, and manufacturing industries, as well as those in financial distress. Within healthcare, Scott has focused on companies in the provider and outsourced services sectors.  He began his investment banking career as an Associate at Lazard Frères & Co. in New York City. Scott co-taught or lectured students in courses in the business schools at the University of Miami, the University of Florida, and Florida International University from 1998 to 2010.  He received his B.A. degree from Wesleyan University and his MBA degree from the Yale University School of Management.

Jeffrey Schillinger

DermCare Management
Co-Founder

Mr. Jeffrey Schillinger has a long track record of leadership of successful physician practice management companies bringing 25 years of experience to the leadership at DermCare Management.  Mr. Schillinger is the co-founder of DermCare which began partnering with dermatology practices in Jul 2017.

Prior to joining DermCare, Mr. Schillinger served as the Chief Executive Officer at Hospital Physician Partners, a national Emergency Medicine physician practice management company.  Mr. Schillinger lead the company from the founding of its predecessor company in 2002 until 2015 when it was sold in a private equity backed transaction.  During his tenure at Hospital Physician Partners  and its predecessor entity, the company grew from a start up to an enterprise doing business in 25 states with 2,500 providers.

Prior to his work with Hospital Physician Partners, Mr. Schillinger served as President and CFO of ECS Holdings, another hospital based physician practice management group.  He oversaw the growth of ECS from three facilities to over 80 contracts during his tenure.

Mr. Schillinger is currently on the Board of Directors of HealthTec, a hospital management and consulting company, and is a past director of Dental One Partners, a 150+ practice dental service management company.

Mr. Schillinger graduated from the State University of New York with a degree in Economics and Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
