Moderator: Jim Craig

Managing Director

Mr. Craig has worked exclusively in middle market healthcare finance for 34 years.  Currently he is a Managing Director, Healthcare Market Lead at CIBC Bank USA.  Previously, Mr. Craig started and lead the healthcare banking business at BankUnited from 2018 to 2021.  He also spent six years as VP -Middle Market Healthcare at Fifth Third Bank in Florida. 

In 2001 Mr. Craig was a co-founder of Healthcare Finance Group, Inc. (“HFG”), a specialty finance company that provided asset based and cash flow based loans exclusively to healthcare service businesses nationally, until its successful sale to a public company in 2013.  At HFG Mr. Craig served as Executive Vice President, responsible for all sales and marketing activities of the company.  Mr. Craig was also a member of the credit committee, and board of directors, and was actively involved in all debt and equity capital raising efforts at HFG.  Before starting HFG, Mr. Craig spent several years in healthcare asset based lending, in various roles, including originations, underwriting, and portfolio management and Senior Credit Officer.

Mr. Craig began his healthcare lending career in 1990 as an Asst. VP with the Health/Med Group at UJB, a $30 Billion regional bank based in NJ. 

Mr. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Manhattan College, where his concentration was in Marketing.  Mr. Craig also attended Rutgers University, Graduate School of Management, where he concentrated in Finance.

Ian Goldberger

Principal

Ian Goldberger is a Principal at Kaufman Rossin and one of the leaders of the firm’s Business Consulting Services team. Ian oversees the firm's Transaction Advisory practice, with a focus on advising private equity and corporate clients through capital raise and merger and acquisition initiatives including financial and operational due diligence, strategic planning, financial modeling, business plan preparation, and post-deal integration planning and execution.

Additionally, Ian is a co-leader of Kaufman Rossin’s Healthcare industry group, where he works with national physician groups, management service organizations, and private equity funds on strategic partnerships across multiple sub-sectors.

Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, Ian was a key member of a national medical group’s internal business development team, tasked with sourcing and executing strategic physician practice acquisitions.

Ian graduated from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.

Jeffrey Schillinger

DermCare Management
CEO

In April 2002, Mr. Schillinger co-founded EDCare, which was an Emergency Medicine physician practice management company, and served as its Chief Executive Officer. As a result of a recap with BPOC in 2008, EDCare merged with Sterling Healthcare, to create Hospital Physician Partners (“HPP”).  Mr. Schillinger led the growth of HPP, into one of the largest privately held physician practice management companies in the country which was subsequently sold to Schumacher Group, an Onex Corporation portfolio company.  One year later he co-founded DermCare Management, Inc. in September 2016. Today DermCare manages over 70 clinics and is one of the fastest growing Dermatology platform companies in the country.

Prior to his work with HPP, and starting in 1994, Mr. Schillinger served as President and CFO of ECS Holdings (“ECS”), another leading physician practice management group. Mr. Schillinger served on the Board of Directors for almost 10 years of Dental One Partners, a 150+ practice Dental Service Corporation backed by MSD Capital. Mr. Schillinger graduated from the State University of New York with a degree in Economics and Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Bill R. Britton

Cross Keys Capital, LLC
Co-Founder & Managing Director

Bill is a Managing Director and co-founded Cross Keys Capital in 2006. Bill leads the healthcare practice and is responsible for successfully closing 50 physician practice management transactions since 2010. He has over 25 years of experience in M&A including divestitures, acquisitions, restructurings, and capital raises for a broad range of clients both domestically and internationally. Prior to founding the firm, Bill worked at Outsource International, where he raised private capital, took the company public and led over 40 transactions. He has also worked at Ryder System, where he participated in a leveraged buyout of the truck rental unit, and began his career in the investment banking department at Morgan Stanley.

Bill received an M.B.A. from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School, and graduated first in his class, summa cum laude, with a B.S. in Business and Chemistry from the University of Richmond.

Alex Heintz

Accretive Health Advisors, LLC
Partner

Alex developed and led Cano Health’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) function, directly managing the valuation and transaction process for PCP practices, regional MSOs/IPAs, ACOs, and scaled multi-site value-based care organizations. Directly led the closing of 40+ transactions across 4 states and 7 MSAs. Implemented DCE and ACO REACH programs at multiple value-based care organizations; serving as Executive Director, growing PCP participation, and developing discounted delivery networks.

Alex received a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Florida Atlantic University. He is a candidate for Florida CPA.

Miller Norman

Blue Sea Capital
Principal

As a Principal with Blue Sea Capital, Miller assists with identifying, evaluating and executing healthcare investment opportunities as well as providing ongoing support to the firm’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Blue Sea Capital, Miller was an Associate at Odyssey Investment Partners, a middle market private equity firm based in New York City. Miller began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in Barclays’ Industrials Group.

In his spare time, Miller enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, golfing, fishing and Alabama football.
