Emily is a manager in RSM’s mergers and acquisitions tax services practice, and focuses on advising private equity groups, publicly traded and privately held companies with respect to tax implications of mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions. She has broad industry experience with a focus on healthcare and business and professional services. Emily has worked in public accounting for over 8 years, focused on private equity as well as mergers and acquisitions consulting.

Derek Campanella serves as an Associate Director and Leadership Advisor at The Siegfried Group, where he assists leading financial executives on the successful execution of their organization's most critical accounting and finance initiatives. A Certified Public Accountant, Derek holds a dual degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland. Originally from Washington, DC, Derek moved to Florida in June 2020, as he likes to say, 'before it became the cool thing to do'. In his free time, Derek enjoys tennis, golf, and camping at national parks — and he’ll be promoted to New Dad in March 2026!
