On April 24, ACG Toronto hosted the 6th Annual Ottawa Capital Connection at the Canadian Museum of Nature. The sold-out event brought together over 200+ dealmakers, capital providers and business leaders for a day of high-impact networking and thought leadership.

The speaker lineup featured prominent voices in Canada's business and investment community. Keynote presentations included:

  • Pedro Antunes, Chief Economist at the Conference Board of Canada in discussion with Rambod Behboodi (BLG)

  • The Hon. Erin O'Toole, President and Managing Director at ADIT North America moderated by Ross Gilchrist (BMO Corporate Finance)

  • David Ross, CEO of Ross Video in conversation with Ruby Williams (Deloitte)

Panels explored critical themes:

  • Raising later-stage capital: moderated by Andrea Johnson (Dentons) and speakers: Loren Rafeson (BDC Capital), David Chelich (TSX) and Bob Dunn (GF Data)

  • Executing value creation in portfolio companies: moderated by Rachael Belanger (BLG), with panelists: Hai Tran-Viet (Canadian Business Growth Fund), Nicole Li (Alphi Capital) and Glenn Cowan (ONE9 Venture Capital)

From opening remarks by Conference co-chairs: Ross Gilchrist (BMO Corporate Finance — Eastern Ontario) and Stephan May (Welch Capital Partners) to the engaging sessions throughout the day, the conference delivered timely insights on navigating today's economic and investment environment.
