Mike Donahue

Viking Mergers and Acquisitions
Senior Advisor and Partner

Mike brings over 35 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience, in senior accounting, finance, and general management roles, to the Viking team. He has a broad background across a variety of manufacturing and distribution businesses as well as extensive merger and acquisition experience. He has been successful in industry consolidation, turnaround, and start-up situations.

Mike started his career in public accounting before joining an international conglomerate, where he held a series of divisional controller and CFO roles, ultimately being named North American CFO. In that position he played a key role in developing and executing a robust acquisition strategy in the building materials sector, and over the ensuing eight years the company completed more than 40 transactions. Mike then went on to run an industry-leading, multi-site manufacturer, where he led a dramatic turnaround in profitability. Following his exit from the corporate grind Mike started a successful distribution business, leveraging his relationships and experience from his prior roles. Through that experience he came to appreciate the unique challenges and opportunities of business ownership which, combined with his management and deal experience, has prepared him well to represent Viking’s clients.

The youngest of seven from a blue-collar family, Mike was fortunate to attend a college prep high school, which led to him earning a degree in accounting. After numerous corporate relocations he is happy to call Charlotte, NC his long-time home. He and his wife Niki share five grown children with whom they enjoy boating, snow skiing, playing racket sports or cards, and traveling.

Pregis
President of Operations

Jon T. McClure joined Pregis in August 2020 as President of Operations for the Anderson, South Carolina facility. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of South Carolina and brings over 45 years of leadership experience in blown film extrusion and operational excellence.

McClure’s career is marked by innovation, entrepreneurial vision, and strategic growth. As the founder of ISO Poly Films, Inc., he successfully launched and operated two manufacturing plants—each built on a foundation of operational efficiency and high-performance culture. The Pregis Anderson facility, his third major start-up, reflects his continued commitment to building successful, sustainable operations.

Following the sale of his interest in ISO, McClure transitioned into real estate development, where he completed more than $100 million in industrial projects. In 2018, leveraging decades of industry insight, he identified and secured the strategic site at 200 Masters Blvd. Just two years later, the facility became operational, setting the stage for long-term growth. As of 2025, Pregis Anderson marks its fourth year of successful operation, employing 90 full-time associates and surpassing $100 million in sales.

McClure’s leadership has earned national recognition. Under his direction, ISO Poly Films was named one of Entrepreneur Magazine and Dun & Bradstreet’s “Hot 100 Small Businesses” for two consecutive years. He was also honored as “Entrepreneur of the Year of the Carolinas” by Ernst & Young and received the Ambassador Award for Economic Development from the Governor of South Carolina.

Beyond his business achievements, McClure has made a lasting impact on both industry and community. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Flexible Packaging Association and the Southeastern Board for the Society of Plastics Industry for over a decade. Locally, he served as President of the Board of Directors for the Boys Home of the South and remains active with the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce and the Greenville Touchdown Club.

Demonstrating his deep commitment to youth development, McClure founded the “500 for the Future” scholarship program, which has enabled hundreds of young people to attend summer sports camps—empowering the next generation through opportunity and mentorship.
