Shane Klein

Shane is a Managing Director covering Western Canada for BMO's Private Equity and Financial Coverage Group. Shane has over 15 years of diversified corporate banking, turnaround/restructuring and leveraged finance experience across most industry sectors operating in Western Canada. In his current role he is responsible for maintaining relationships with Western Canadian-based private equity firms and U.S.-based private firms investing in Western Canada. Shane joined the BMO Corporate Finance Division in 2013. Prior to joining BMO Shane spent over 11 years with a major international financial instritution splitting time between Calgary and Vancouver.

Don Matthew


Don is the National Sector Leader for KPMG in Canada’s Industrial Manufacturing group. He also serves as the regional Greater Vancouver Area Sector Leader for Industrial Markets. He has always been involved in the industrial markets practice and with related manufacturing industry associations. Don has been with KPMG since 1983 and has held a number of leadership positions, including the position of office managing partner in Edmonton. He recently returned to the BC Lower Mainland to lead the growth of our Fraser Valley practice by becoming Partner-in-charge of KPMG in Canada’s new Langley office and integrating it into our Fraser Valley practice with Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

Erica McGuinness

Erica McGuinness is a Vice President with Sequeira Partners, a mid-market sell-side advisory firm. Demonstrating a high level of quality performance, Erica is committed to building strong client relationships and is driven to exceed client expectations. In her role with Sequeira Partners, Erica assists clients throughout the transaction process and oversees the preparation of research, financial models and marketing materials. Before joining Sequeira Partners, Erica supported transaction execution activities for one of the Big Four accounting firms in Vancouver. In addition, she has been active in the community serving on the board of Association of Women in Finance and UBC's Thunderbird Advisory Counsel. Erica holds a CPA, CA designation, a CBV designation and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC.

Steve Hnatiuk

Steve has led financings and been an active business partner to management teams in numerous emerging and growth-stage companies in Western Canada and the US Northwest for over 20 years. He has had the good fortune to participate in a number of successful exits with great companies driven by talented management teams. Prior to co-founding Lighthouse in 2012, Steve co-founded Vancouver-based Yaletown Venture Partners in 2001 and played a central role in building the firm, its investment portfolio, and capital under management to $165M during the firm's formative decade. During the 1990's Steve started and built TD Bank's technology industry group in Western Canada where he structured growth financings for more than 45 innovation-driven companies, following success in building a mid-market diversified industries portfolio for the bank. Steve has held operationally focused roles with global management consulting firm Accenture, where he designed and implemented enterprise management systems for major corporations in the energy industry, and with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led business development strategy and execution for the Technology, Information & Communications group.

Klemens Wilhelm

Klemens is a Principal at Fulcrum Capital Partners which provides flexible private equity solutions to the Canadian middle market. He is active in a broad range of Fulcrum's investing activities including origination, evaluation and value creation of investments. He currenty serves on the board of two B.C. based businesses, Canstar Restorations and Weatherhaven Global Resources.

Leah McGimpsey

As the Senior Manager, Deal Execution and Competitive Intelligence at Rocky Mountaineer, Leah is responsible for delivering strategic inorganic growth opportunities that align with the company's strategic growth plans. In particular, Leah leads the deal execution function for qualified acquisitions, execution of the company's competitige intelligence program, and ad-hoc special projects originating directly form the Office of the President. As part of the Corporate Development leadership team, Leah participates in strategy development, annual operating plans and investment recommendations.

Leah is an experienced M&A and strategy professional with strong financial leadership, strategic management, critical thinking and decision making abilities. Leah has experience in leading inorganic growth opportunities, and facilitating, structuring and communicating long-term corporate strategic planning. Prior to her role with Rocky Mountaineer, Leah was responsible for providing key financial and strategic advice including managing/overseeing Corporate Development and M&A related activities for a Vancouver-based food and beverage start-up. Before that, Leah enjoyed 6 years of buy-side and sell-side M&A experience in the Deloitte Corporate Finance group in London, UK and Vancouver. Leah is an ACA in the UK, a part qualified CBV professional and holds a First Class Bachelors Degree in Law and Accounting from the University of Manchester, UK.

David Mullen

Dave is a leading executive in the private equity industry with over 30 years' experience in the financial sector. Dave spent the majority of his career as the Head of Private Equity for the Americas at HSBC, where he led merchant banking operations in Canada, US and Latin America with capital commitments in excess of $2 billion. In 2011 Dave led the spinout of both the US and Canadian subsidiaries of HSBC Capital to create Graycliff Partners and Fulcrum Capital Partners. Dave's many years of experience in both the mezzanine and private equity markets has brought him a strong understanding of how to recognize opportunities and capitalize on such.

Dave continues his leadership as a founding Managing Director at Graycliff Partners, a New York City based middle market private equity firm, which has investments throughout the US and Latin America. In addition, Dave joined Highland West Capital in 2015 as a managing director. Highland West Capital Ltd. is a private equity firm that blends the depth of large fund experience with the flexibility of a family office. Dave is past Chair for the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA), the principal private capital association for Canada. Dave also lends his time on a number of public and philanthropic boards. Dave received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from UBC and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.

David Sung

Married since 1997, David, his wife Tassan and their two children lead an active lifestyle. After graduating from UBC in 1992, David began a career in financial services, eventually starting his own company in 1999. In 2003, he merged his business (Waterstreet Wealth Management) with Nicola Wealth Management, becoming an integral part of the management team and growing NWM nto one of Canada's fastest growing Wealth Management companies.

Angela Austman

Angela Austman is a partner of Lawson Lundell LLP. With 16 years of expertise in corporate finance and private equity investment review, she is sought out for her ability to efficiently manage complex, time-sensitive transactions and provide pragmatic advice to executives and boards on compliance, governance and risk management issues.

She routinely advises clients in connection with investment fund formation and related registration and compliance matters, including investment fund manager, portfolio manager and exempt market dealer registrations. She also advises both fund sponsors and institutional investors in connection with private equity fund formations, fund investments, buyouts and mezzanine financings. Silvana also has extensive knowledge in the restructuring of privately-owned businesses for strategic estate and tax planning. Andrew Hennigar

Andrew Hennigar is counsel in the Corporate Commercial Group in the Borden Ladner Gervais LLP Vancouver office. Andrew focuses his practice on merger and acquisitions transactions and debt and equity corporate finance, including private equity and venture capital transactions. He regularly advises clients in share and asset purchase transactions, investment transactions, corporate structuring and restructuring, shareholder and governance matters, and commercial contract negotiation. He has significant experience in Canada-US cross border transactions and regularly represents buyers, sellers and investors in transactions across a broad range of industries. Andrew began his career and spent several years working at a leading New York law firm before relocating to Vancouver.


John Keserich

John is a partner at BDO with 25 years of experience providing quality, responsive services to both public and private companies in the technology and manufacturing industries. He was previously involved in many global audit assignments as an auditor of a component and as the lead auditor responsible for the consolidation and coordinating of all subsidiary auditors. John has worked with companies in several different countries, including France, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia and England. His further experience includes dealing with complex corporate structures, assisting with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and raising capital. He understands clients’ perspectives and helps them resolve various challenges as they arise.


Lena McLeod

Lena joined ACG British Columbia in 2015. With a social services background, she has almost 20 years of experience working for various non profit organizations in communications, public relations and program management. Prior to joining ACG BC as a Chapter Administrator, Lena was a Communications Coordinator for the Canadian Jewish Congress.  Prior to that, Lena managed a large Federal Youth Internship Program for the YMCA of Greater Vancouver.  Lena has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology/Sociology from Simon Fraser University.
