Ambassador Program

Ambassador Program

The ACG Boston Ambassadors is a group of like-minded individuals whose goals are to form meaningful connections as active members of the organization. Without the typical time commitment of a formal committee, the Ambassadors help spread the word about ACG Boston events and membership by attending events, welcoming new members, recommending ACG to industry peers, and providing feedback to the ACG staff to improve the overall member experience.

ACG Boston Ambassadors understand the value in participating in the most comprehensive and efficient networking community for middle-market deal professionals, and have a desire to share their knowledge and experience with fellow members by becoming a “face” of, and a go-to resource within the organization.

The Goals of the Ambassador Program are:

  1. Create a group of ACG Boston members looking to form meaningful connections within the member community and stay actively involved with the organization.
  2. Allow for larger volunteer pool with Ambassadors’ emphasis on event attendance, member outreach, and community building – and decrease reliance on formal committees and committee meetings.
  3. Improve camaraderie amongst members with inclusive group to welcome new members, engage our community, provide feedback, and assist ACG staff with light planning as needed.

Ambassadors will enjoy such benefits as:

  • Building your professional relationships with new and existing members, and expanding your reach within ACG, in Boston, the Northeast, and across other chapters.
  • Leveraging the knowledge of M&A activity within your network of ACG Boston relationships.
  • Influencing future events and programs based on feedback from your member relationships.
  • Elevate your exposure and leadership presence to ACG Boston Advisory Board.

Ambassadors will be required to:

  • Reach out to and connect with new and existing members, to welcome or reengage them with the membership.  (Lists of names will be provided monthly by ACG Boston staff)
  • Attend ACG Boston events when possible with a new member, to introduce them to the community and help them feel welcome as a new attendee.
  • Gather feedback from fellow members about their ACG experiences & crowdsource event/services ideas to help ACG remain relevant.
  • Attend an initial orientation meeting to understand the role and responsibilities of being an Ambassador.
  • Meet as a group occasionally to touch base on progress, member feedback, etc.
