President

David Peart is a seasoned sports, entertainment, and media executive with over three decades of distinguished leadership and innovation. Currently, he serves as the Club President of Rhode Island FC.

Peart's extensive career includes senior-level roles at prominent major-league sports organizations, such as the Dallas Stars (NHL), Texas Rangers (MLB), Houston Texans (NFL), San Francisco 49ers (NFL), and Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL). Most recently, he spent a decade as the General Manager of Space City Sports Network, the regional sports network for the Houston Astros and Houston Rockets.

Throughout his career, Peart has consistently driven organizations to achieve record-breaking business results, recognized for innovation and significant community contributions.

A respected thought leader, Peart has contributed to numerous publications and books and has served as a featured lecturer on sports and media management at leading universities, including Stanford University Graduate School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, and Princeton University. He was a founding member of the Board of Advisors for the Sports Sponsorship and Sales Program at Baylor University and an advisor at Texas Southern University School of Communications.

Peart demonstrates a strong commitment to community engagement, having served on the boards of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, Junior Achievement (JA) of Western Pennsylvania, and the National Aviary. He is a former Trustee of Point Park University. Notably, he developed an annual charity broadcast in partnership with the Houston Astros and Rockets, raising nearly $3 million for local Houston beneficiaries. Peart is also dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives, collaborating with organizations in Southeast Texas to promote DEI awareness in sports and broadcasting.

He holds a degree in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University and has completed advanced studies in Public Management at Carnegie Mellon University and the Program for Managers at Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business. Peart resides in Providence, Rhode Island, with his wife, Julie, and is the father of James Tyler Peart and Kelsey Peart.
