ACG Boston invites you to join us for our annual healthcare forum, bringing together investors, business owners and advisors all working towards innovation and growth in the healthcare industry.

The event will kickoff with a panel discussing the trends and industry shifts that are contributing to a more consumer-driven healthcare system, and then lead into a lively cocktail reception overlooking the Boston waterfront, with M&A peers focused in the healthcare sector.

Gabriele Brambilla was appointed Alira Health’s Chief Executive Officer in 2014 and has led U.S. operations since 2010. In his role as CEO, Gabriele continues to develop Alira Health’s corporate and product lifecycle capabilities and help our clients to accelerate their innovation. In 2018 he co-founded the MetroWest Life Sciences Network, a regional collaboration of healthcare and life science-based organizations, municipalities, and economic and business development organizations located in Boston’s MetroWest region, which is home to Alira Health’s headquarters. His work as the Chairman of this thriving network is helping to bring greater collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship to this critical life sciences ecosystem. Gabriele is also on the Board of Directors of MassMedic, EnlightenVue, WoundForce, Firefly Innovations, X-Cor Therapeutics, Computational Life, and SMOC. Gabriele began his career in pharmaceuticals, working for an Italian firm based in Shanghai. He has also gained a strong expertise in the medical device areas, specifically with contract manufacturing, fluid management, medical imaging and infection control. Gabriele received his BA in Political Science from the University of Pavia, a master’s degree in international Affairs from the I.S.P.I. and an MBA from Post Graduate SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy.

Christopher Jones

Chief Ventures Investment Officer
University of Vermont Health Network

Chris A. Jones, D.Phil., M.Sc., F.R.S.M. is an innovation leader and venture capitalist who is known for thinking outside the box. Since 2017 he has served as Chief Ventures Investment Officer across the University of Vermont Health Network. Prior to this role Chris was Director of the Global Health Economics Unit at the University of Vermont. His early work includes developing the first personalized fertility calculator in the 1990s with a focus on cost-effective in vitro fertilization (IVF), the early results of which are published in the New England Journal of Medicine. In 2000 he was co-founder of the World Academy for New Thinking which was launched in Paris at UNESCO by Professor Edward DeBono, the creator of "Lateral Thinking." He then went on to advise family offices (including Formula1 racers) and pharmaceutical corporations on commercial development. At the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Chris created an award-winning adherence tool, now called Trustr.AI, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to determine the most effective words of adherence encouragement using text messaging. His work in Twitter bot detection helped form Vermont policy changes concerning e-cigarette advertising to children.

Chris holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, and an MSc in biology from Oxford University. His doctorate also from the latter was in health economics, funded by the Bertarelli Foundation and the British Government. His post-doctoral fellowships were awarded by the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Centre for Outcomes Research and Effectiveness (University College London), and Pfizer (Johns Hopkins University).

Adrienne McFadden, MD, JD

Chief Medical Officer

Adrienne McFadden is a physician executive with 20+ years of healthcare experience including 9 years in executive leadership roles. She is currently the Chief Medical Officer and Head of Marketplace Operations at Buoy Health. In this role she directs Buoy’s clinical strategy, helps guide the development of product initiatives from an expert medical perspective and provides leadership of the company’s marketplace partnerships. Prior to Buoy, Adrienne was the Vice President of Medicaid Clinical at Humana Insurance, where she led the overarching clinical and population health vision and strategy for Humana's National Medicaid organization. Adrienne is a board-certified emergency physician and received her medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine and her law degree from the Duke University School of Law.

Paula Muto

Paula Muto, MD, FACS

Paula Muto, M.D., F.A.C.S., is the founder and CEO of UBERDOC, and the Director of the Vein Center at Mutosurgical. A graduate of Amherst College and New York Medical College, Dr. Muto is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon by specialty who also practices general surgery.

Paula is an advocate of disruption in healthcare and speaks passionately on many issues regarding transparency in healthcare, patient rights and ensuring patient access to the care they need and deserve. The parents of two children, Paula resides in Andover, MA with her husband Jonathan Gordon, M.D., who is also a surgeon.
