Dr. Charles L. Anderson

Dr. Charles L. Anderson is an accomplished Physician Executive and Entrepreneur with more than 30 years of success spanning a wide range of healthcare business services including strategy, change management, supply chain, revenue cycle management, mergers and acquisitions, IT systems development and implementation, data analytics, community and population health. Leveraging his extensive experience driving organizational behavior, culture, and financial performance, Charles is a valuable asset for companies requiring strategic advisory. His broad areas of expertise also include clinical research (Harvard School of Medicine), management consulting (Deloitte) and teaching in large academic medical centers (Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University). Charles is a C-suite executive who brings his functional knowledge in service-oriented operations across a broad range of industries as a private equity professional and a value-added board member.

As Principal and Co-Founder of the private equity firm, Exaltare Capital Partners, Charles was the COO of their first portfolio company, a single state multi-unit fitness business.  In this role Charles tripled the size of the business in less than 3 years, expanding it across 3 states and significantly improved operational and financial performance.  As VP of Corporate and Business Development for one of the largest healthcare systems in New England, Charles had business development and M&A responsibilities contributing to the successful acquisition of this $1.5B healthcare system by a private equity firm.  As the Chair of the Finance Committee on the Board of Directors of the Cambridge College, Charles has helped position the organization towards a new level of success in a market of nationally declining enrollment. Currently, Charles is leveraging his skills and experience, in rapidly scaling business models, to disrupt traditional strategies for pain management by increasing access and affordability of acupuncture as a Modern Acupuncture Regional Developer.

Charles attained his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, his MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, his AB in Biochemistry from Princeton University, and his MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Management from the Boston University Questrom School of Business.
