NEW YORK, NOVEMBER 13, 2019 — Accordion, the private equity financial consulting and technology firm, today announced that it has made a series of significant senior hires, as well as a notable promotion. The three hires and one promotion reflect Accordion’s market penetration, geographic expansion, and commitment to be the go-to-partner for the private equity community.

Managing Directors:

Accordion has hired Ben Brandes to be a Managing Director for its growing Boston office. Brandes brings his extensive experience in private equity, portfolio company operations and board membership to the market. He recently comes from Grant Thornton, where he helped form and lead their private equity advisory efforts after building his career in direct investing in lower middle market companies.

Shauna Watson has also been hired as a Managing Director in Accordion’s San Francisco office, expanding its Technical Accounting practice nationally. Prior to joining Accordion, Watson was the Global Head of Technical Accounting at RGP, where she developed end-to-end solutions for revenue recognition and lease accounting compliance.

In addition, Jason Madden, previously a Senior Director, has been promoted to Managing Director within Strategic Finance, based in New York. Senior Director: Also joining the rapidly expanding San Francisco office is new Senior Director Mayci Cheng. Cheng has nearly two decades of experience partnering with CFO organizations to drive value through process improvement, automation optimization, and operating model transformation, most recently as a Director at PwC.
