David Zaiken

Director, International and Corporate Tax Technical Leader

David is a seasoned professional with over 49 years of experience in international and corporate tax advising on a global scale. Currently, he is a senior member of the strategic tax team at WebsterRogers, LLP, working out of the Charleston, South Carolina office. His career has seen him lead numerous core tax teams across the United States. Prior to joining WebsterRogers, David held positions at Arthur Andersen, KPMG, Alvarez & Marsal Tax, Weatherford, and Grant Thornton. 

Throughout his career, David has been integral to numerous international tax technical and planning teams, overseeing controversies related to corporate and transfer pricing matters. He has adeptly guided clients through the evolving landscape of global tax planning amid U.S. tax reform and the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) initiative. 

David possesses core industry strengths in sectors such as manufacturing, high-tech, supply chains, customs, tariffs, and international tax law. Moreover, his expertise extends into energy, pharmaceuticals, and intellectual property. He has been published in multiple national outlets on these topics. As a core international tax committee member of the United States Council of International Business, David actively contributes to discussions on OECD and other international matters. 

Since joining WebsterRogers, David has lectured often on various professional technical international tax matters and is an adjunct member of the Masters of Tax Program at the College of Charleston. He speaks at national conferences on tariff and supply chain strategy, and frequently has articles published on these topics in national and international publications. Additionally, he has facilitated more than 15 executive roundtable sessions across the country in 2025 with CEOs, CFO’s, Supply Chain Leaders, and Senior Tax Leaders discussing tariffs, supply chain strategies, and tax integration.
