Now in its 18th year, this event allows private equity companies to connect with potential directors and operating executives for their current and future portfolio companies, as well as fostering a great atmosphere for the development and discussion of investment ideas and deals. Board members from public and private companies, be they small, mid or large cap firms, will be in the audience as will senior executives who are looking to move into the boardroom or discuss possible investment opportunities.

Deborah Agrafojo

Partner, M&A Investment Banker, Touchstone Advisors

Deborah has influenced and directed strategic and owner-operator mergers and acquisitions in many different fields. She believes strongly that assisting a business to grow and develop strong practices is the best way to create a company that is poised for exit planning or gaining an equity growth partner. Deborah supports industries including Food and Beverage, Life Sciences, Specialty Trades, and Business Services. Deborah took a less traditional route to investment banking, completing her FINRA certification after several other career choices. As a young teen, she started her very first business – a commercial cleaning service. Her passion for learning and drive for success included studying Microbiology, English Education, American History and Allergy Adapted Baking. Currently Deborah serves as President of XPX Hartford collaborating to help their private company clients build business value, transfer ownership and create a legacy of success in their lives and their communities.

Andy Cook

Partner, Southfield Capital

Andy joined Levison & Co., the predecessor of Southfield Capital, in November 2002. He has over 14 years of experience working as a principal with middle market companies.

Since joining Southfield Capital, Andy has been involved in the sourcing, execution and management of the firm's direct investments and has developed extensive board-level experience. Prior to joining Levison & Co., he was an Analyst at CRT Capital Group, a boutique investment bank based in Stamford, CT. He also spent two years as an Analyst at General Electric in the company's Financial Management Program, with a majority of his time spent in General Electric Capital's private equity division.

Andy is currently on the board of directors of Franchise FastLane, Protos Security, Milrose Consultants, Property Management Holdings, and TFS. He earned a B.A. degree in Economics magna cum laude from Hamilton College.

Scott Gold

Partner, Z2 Capital Partners, LLC

Scott is responsible for overall firm leadership, investment decisions, investor relations, and team culture. He was the Managing Director and head of Corporate Private Credit at Arena Investors from 2015 to 2022.

Scott was a founding and investment committee member of Alcentra Capital, a subsidiary of BNY Mellon. He began his investing career at Bank of NY as an Analyst and 17 years later he was Managing Director and Investment Committee Member. Scott received his

MBA (summa cum laude) from Fordham University in finance and a B.S. from New York University with a dual major in finance and international business.

Scott is an avid skier and sports enthusiast.

Bob’s board experience spans more than a dozen public, PE-backed and private company boards. He has served as a board member, CEO, President or COO of companies ranging in size from $1.5B in revenue to startups and has sold several companies for 14X EBITDA. He has served as a board member, CEO or advisor for Clearview Capital portfolio companies and for many other private equity firms.

He is known for his strategic insight, leadership, and entrepreneurial ability to create value.

Bob is currently the Governance Committee Chair for Santa Energy and for NACD CT, serves as a board advisor for BlackOpsPartners (a global risk and cybersecurity firm), and as a founder of a stealth-mode Zero Trust cybersecurity authentication-as-a-service firm.

Bob’s expertise is in cybersecurity, govtech, fintech, HCM and other tech-enabled business services. He started his career at Intel, GE, Citigroup, and ADP developing and introducing new products and services.

He is accredited in Cybersecurity Governance from CERT at Carnegie Mellon, is a contributor to the NACD Private Company Governance report, and has spoken on cybersecurity at ACG, NACD, SBIA and other forums.

He has also served on not-for-profit boards including the Pennsylvania Ballet.

Bob is a graduate of Chicago Booth with an MBA, Beta Gamma Sigma in Finance and Marketing (top 10% of his class). He holds a BS in Computer Science magna cum laude from Union College.
