Michael Carter

MICHAEL CARTER, Managing Partner & Founder, Carter Morse & Goodrich

Michael Carter is the founder of Carter Morse & Goodrich where he serves as Managing Partner. He has been on the financial side of business from many perspectives: as a business founder, commercial lender, investment banker, board director, and business advisor.

As a seasoned investment banker, he has advised over 100 M&A and financing transactions. In addition to his work with private companies, Michael has worked with several public companies as a board member which include:    World Business Capital, First International Bancorp, Command Security Corporation and Cannondale Corporation.   Michael also serves as the Co-Lead on CMG’s Fuel & Retail Convenience advisory team.

Michael began his career in private industry in operations. Thereafter, he was a vice president at Chase Bank responsible for middle-market commercial lending and corporate finance activities in New England.

Michael is a founding member and former board director of the Association for Corporate Growth, Connecticut Chapter.   He was one of the founding members for Alliance of International Corporate Advisors.

Karin Kovacic

KARIN KOVACIC, Managing Director, Institutional Sales, Libertas

Before joining Libertas, Karin led sponsor coverage initiatives at Baker Tilly Capital, collaborating with referral relationships, Baker Tilly partners, private equity firms, and business owners. Her responsibilities involved identifying cash flow-based sponsored and non-sponsored private credit opportunities and overseeing transactions throughout the capital stack at Monroe Capital, Alcentra Capital Corporation, and Fifth Street Capital.

Karin previously worked with numerous private credit and financial services firms, managing transactions throughout the investment life cycle. With more than 20 years of private equity industry experience, she has a proven track record of building strong connections, closing deals, fueling business expansion, and cultivating investor relationships.

Karin actively involved in networking and educational organizations, currently serving as president of the Connecticut Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

Colin Moore

COLIN MOORE, Managing Director, Stout

Colin Moore specializes in financial due diligence and M&A advisory, and he has extensive experience supporting private equity firms and corporate clients on buy-side and sell-side transactions, helping them navigate deal complexities and manage risk.

Colin also advises clients to ensure that agreements are structured to reflect the financial terms of the deal and to safeguard value throughout the transaction process, which often includes net working capital advisory, closing statement preparation, and purchase agreement reviews.

Beyond due diligence, Colin supports M&A integration and separation, with a deliberate focus on value creation. He has successfully led initiatives such as establishing Integration Management Offices (IMOs), overseeing 100-day planning and Day One readiness, and design and management of Transition Service Agreements (TSAs).

JEFF ROSSI, New England Consumer & Industrial Products Leader & Transaction Advisory Services, CBIZ

Jeff Rossi is a Certified Public Accountant dedicated to delivering high-quality service and strategic advice to his clients and referral partners. He currently serves as the New England leader for both the Consumer and Industrial Products practice and the Transaction Advisory Services practice at CBIZ.

Jeff specializes in providing transaction and assurance services to companies in manufacturing, construction, and consumer products, with deep expertise in Tier 1 automotive, aerospace, defense, and food and beverage manufacturing and distribution. He has extensive experience working with both privately held and private equity-backed businesses, consistently focused on driving enterprise value and long-term success for his clients.
