Prior to co-founding Lion Equity Jim spent seven years at Platinum Equity, most recently as a Principal of the firm. Jim joined Platinum Equity in 2000 and was responsible for the structuring and execution of some of Platinum’s most important acquisition and divestiture transactions. Jim served on the Board of several of Platinum’s portfolio companies, providing operational and strategic guidance.

Prior to joining Platinum, Jim was a Senior Associate in Investment Banking for Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, an international investment bank, advising middle market companies on M&A transactions across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, business services, healthcare, telecommunications, and distribution. Jim also worked in the Corporate Finance group of Bank of America Securities where he was involved in the analysis, structuring, and execution of M&A transactions.

Currently, Jim is a Board Member for Linen Holdings, Vivabox Solutions and UE Compression. Jim received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Anderson School at the University of California at Los Angeles.
