Michael Press is the President of SCOUT Economics, a provider of site selection, location analysis and incentives advisory services. He is the founder of the Ernst & Young Business Incentives Practice and former Commissioner of the Office of Business Development and Chief Economist of the City of New York. In these government roles he was responsible for the design of the package of incentives recently awarded to Amazon in New York.
Al is an experienced operating executive with over 20 years of transformational leadership in industrial and technology-based businesses, ranging from blue-chip companies like L3 Technologies and ABB to private equity owned companies like Safariland Group. In his most recent role as the interim President of a $500M safety and security products business he was responsible for leading the team and turn-around initiatives that delivered over $25M of EBITDA improvement.
