Another day, another event, why buy when you can rent!
The day after International Women's Day we had the pleasure and honour of having Florentine Gillis, founder of the CIRCLE CLOSET and her partner, Agnes Scheltema share their inspirational story with us.
CIRCLE CLOSET is the community of like-minded fashion lovers that shares wardrobes. CIRCLE CLOSET believes sharing fashion instead of buying is great not only for for one's bank balance and closet space but also, of course, for our dear planet. Their goal is to become the Vinted of fashion rental.
In addition to learning about the fashion rental community we also gained insights about the impact of the garment industry on the environment and biodiversity as well as more awareness about our consumer behaviour, as individuals, regarding clothing.
As one attendee commented 'Renting and lending of high quality clothing is a win win win for renter, lender and the planet 🌎.' I think the evening has certainly garnered a few more rental converts!
