ACG Houston P.O.D.s (Professionals Opening Doors)

P.O.D.s (Professionals Opening Doors) are created to help ACG Houston members better leverage their membership. A POD is a smaller networking group created with the sole purpose of helping members develop relationships and refer business.

WHAT IS A P.O.D.?

A P.O.D. is six to ten Houston Members, where participants are category exclusive in their roles. Each P.O.D. should have a volunteer leader who will help schedule the meetings. P.O.D.s can be general, industry specific, or interest/activity based.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

ACG recommends each P.O.D. meet in-person on a monthly basis, but it will be up to each P.O.D. to determine their meeting frequency and structure. ACG helps to develop and keep track of P.O.D. members, but any costs associated with meetings is up to the Members.

HOW WILL I GROW MY NETWORK?

ACG recommends each P.O.D. meeting include a round robin style intro, discuss recent business, and any referrals or connections each Member needs to make. Each meeting you’ll continue to build on your existing network.

WHAT WILL THIS ACCOMPLISH?

We know trust is key in developing a strong network for business, and the better you know your P.O.D. members, the more value you can bring to the group. The goal is you are top of mind for your P.O.D. and are their first referral when someone needs your particular category of work!

HOW DO I JOIN A P.O.D.?

You must be an active ACG Houston Chapter Member. Once your membership is active, you can fill out the online form below.

Our ACG Houston staff will confirm the form was received. Once we have enough Members to start the P.O.D. you will receive an email from our POD leaders!
