Keynote Speaker - Jason Draho, PhD

UBS Global Wealth Management
Head of Asset Allocation Americas,

Jason is a member of the Chief Investment Office and is responsible for tactical and strategic asset allocation in the US. He works closely with the CIO team globally to generate tactical trade ideas across the full spectrum of investment opportunities. He also leads the development of portfolio models in the US, as well as providing general portfolio solutions advice. He speaks frequently with financial advisors, clients, and the media, presenting UBS views and specific investment recommendations. 

Prior to joining UBS, Jason spent nine years in Research at Morgan Stanley, eventually becoming the firm’s Global Cross-Asset Strategist. He focused on global asset allocation for institutional clients, providing investment recommendations on equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. 

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba and a PhD in Economics from Yale University.

Carolyn DeVar is an Executive Director for the J.P. Morgan Chase Commercial Banking Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization. She has responsibility for security administration, privileged access, end user access, control oversight & governance, access strategy, and data management, privacy & protection controls. The global team located in New York, Chicago, Indianapolis and Bengaluru centralize the roles definition, onboarding and certification for all user access, are focused on automation of Roles Based Access Control, enhancing the Access Management Control environment aligned with Global Identity & Access Management and the Data landscape with Firmwide Data Management.

Jon is an Account Executive in the Private Non-Profit department since 2017. Through obtaining his BA in Insurance and Risk Management from Indiana State University, he developed an interest in specialty areas of the insurance industry. He began an expertise in cyber liability in 2009 as a wholesale broker and has been an underwriter since 2013. Jon obtained his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation in 2012. His goal is to provide education on management liability product lines and value to Travelers’ agency partners. He enjoys activities with his wife and 2 young children, golf, running, DIY projects and investing in his community in the near-east side and downtown Indianapolis.

Kyle Masur serves as Director of Strategic Technology at The Heritage Group (THG). Kyle has nearly two decades of experience in information technology across a range of companies and industries. Prior to joining THG, Kyle held the title of CISO and Director of Technology at the Indiana Health Information Exchange. He previously served in the capacity of IT Security Consultant with Ernst & Young.

Kyle holds a bachelor’s degree in MIS from Butler University and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Virginia.

Kyle is the former chairman of and a current participant on the board of IndyHumane, a limited-admission shelter committed to helping central Indiana’s pets in need. Kyle and his wife, Lauren, and daughter, Cali, enjoy spoiling the family’s two rescue dogs, Sunny and Catalina.

Matthew Smith

Panelist - Matthew Smith, CPA, CISA®, CISSP®

Senior Managing Consultant - IT Risk Services

Matthew is a member of BKD’s IT Risk Services division.  He has more than 20 years of internal and external audit experience specializing in information technology (IT), financial and operational audits for multinational corporations.  Matthew leads IT assurance reviews at BKD for integrated financial statement audits and SOC (System and Organization Controls) engagements.

Prior to joining BKD, he worked with multiple Fortune 1000 organizations where he was responsible for developing and leading risk-based audit programs and a number of compliance initiatives including Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, GDPR, HIPAA, GLBA, etc.

Matthew holds and maintains CPA, Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA®) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certifications.  He also is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, The IIA, (ISC)2 and ISACA®.

He is a graduate of Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky, with a B.A. degree in accounting and an M.B.A. degree.

 Tom’s primary responsibility as vice president within the Transaction Team is evaluating new investment opportunities, due diligence, executing platform and add-on transactions, and working on portfolio company growth initiatives.Tom’s focus is the Health & Wellness sector.

Prior to joining HKW, Tom worked at Wynnchurch Capital and Global Industrials Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Tom stays involved with Indiana University as an organizer for the annual IU Kelley School of Business Private Equity Conference.

Tom lives in Carmel, IN with his wife Mary-Kate. Outside the office, Tom enjoys golf and travel.
