To help weather the storm, the federal government issued a number of economic relief and stimulus measures, including the $2.2. trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. But, due to affiliation rules, investor-backed companies were disqualified from some of the advantageous funding.
