Peter SerVaas served as the student government president at Indiana University.  Peter focused on providing an efficient transit system for the campus. This resulted in a solution and the founding of DoubleMap, a provider of transit software solutions, in 2011.  DoubleMap was bootstrapped to achieve over $10M in annual recurring revenue and was ultimately acquired by Ford Motor Company in August 2019.

Currently, Peter is transitioning onto the board of Ford Smart Mobility transit technology and as vice president of Innovation.  In this role, Peter drives strategy and new products for the organization as well as integration with Ford Smart Mobility businesses, like Spin Scooters.  Ford is spending billions to lead the frontier of new mobility including autonomous vehicles.

Peter has in-depth knowledge in supporting transit-specific technologies including Fixed Route Intelligent Transportation Systems, On-Demand, First Mile/Last Mile, Microtransit and Multi-modal.  He's worked with over 200 transit systems spanning five continents.  His 1,000+ clients include public transit systems, Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, top universities, and international clients.  Under his leadership, DoubleMap was named in the “Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies” for the last four years due to the company’s continued growth.  He was also named to 2015 Inc. Magazine “30 Under 30” list.
