CHICAGO – April 30, 2025 – The Association for Corporate Growth® (ACG) is proud to announce that Morgan Stone, executive director of ACG Houston, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Sharon Kimble Memorial Scholarship. Stone was awarded the $2,500 scholarship earlier this month during DealMAX®, ACG’s flagship annual conference and the premier event for middle-market M&A professionals.

The Sharon Kimble Memorial Scholarship recognizes an ACG chapter leader who demonstrates exceptional dedication, innovation and impact in serving their local chapter and its members. The scholarship provides $2,500 toward professional development and growth within the ACG community.

“Morgan Stone exemplifies the spirit of leadership that the Sharon Kimble Memorial Scholarship was created to honor,” said Brent Baxter, CEO of ACG. “Her unwavering commitment to ACG Houston, her ability to build meaningful member relationships and her role in driving the chapter’s remarkable growth make her a standout among her peers. We are proud to support her continued professional journey.”

Morgan has led ACG Houston with energy, vision and a tireless commitment to excellence. Under her guidance, the chapter has expanded its programming, strengthened its membership base and fostered a dynamic environment for middle-market dealmakers in the region.

Amy Ruebsam, regional CEO of the Central Region and executive director of ACG St. Louis, noted Stone’s leadership and impact: “Morgan brings a level of enthusiasm and professionalism to her role that inspires everyone around her. She leads with both heart and hustle, and the results speak for themselves. There’s no one more deserving of this recognition.”

The Sharon Kimble Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Sharon Kimble, who led ACG Detroit’s chapter for more than 20 years. A beloved leader in the ACG community, Sharon’s passion for people, mentorship and chapter excellence has left a lasting legacy. Each year, the scholarship honors her contributions by supporting the growth of outstanding ACG chapter leaders.
