A-Rod Corp’s Founder and CEO will give the keynote address at ACG’s annual dealmaking meeting
CHICAGO, January 15, 2019 –Baseball legend and businessman Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez will deliver the closing keynote address at the Association for Corporate Growth® (ACG)’s 47th annual InterGrowth® conference held in Orlando, Florida, on May 6-8.
“We’re thrilled that Alex will headline InterGrowth,” said Scott Linch, chair of the InterGrowth planning committee and Managing Partner at DHG Private Equity. “In addition to his baseball field success, he has an accomplished interest in building and investing in businesses. ACG’s global dealmaking community will hear a firsthand account of Rodriguez’s unique story as a serial investor and business mentor. Rodriguez is best known for his baseball career, however, his real estate investments, asset management portfolio and philanthropic contributions show his acumen extends beyond an untouched grand slam record. During his 22-year career in professional baseball, Rodriguez hit an extraordinary 696 home runs — more grand slams than any person in history — and is one of only 29 players to join the 3,000-hit club. Rodriguez is a three-time MVP, a 14-time all-star, and a 2009 World Series Champion with the New York Yankees. Rodriguez is also known for his guest appearances on ABC’s “Shark Tank” and debuted a CNBC television pilot, “Back in the Game,” in which he served as a business mentor to former athletes facing financial distress.
