Congressman receives national recognition for supporting policies that foster and incentivize middle-market growth and jobs.

November 23, 2015: CHICAGO – Today the Association for Corporate Growth®, the global organization focused on driving middle-market growth, awarded the ACG Growth Award to Congressman Mike Quigley, D-Illinois. Established in 2014, the Growth Award is ACG's highest recognition for service to middle-market businesses. Growth Awards are bestowed to appointed or elected officials, scholars, authors and others who have made significant contributions to the middle market. Leaders of ACG presented the award to Congressman Quigley during a site visit at the iconic Chicago pizzeria, Giordano's.

"It's clear Representative Quigley understands the value middle-market companies and the impact they have on job creation and to local communities," said Yorgo Koutsogiorgas, president and CEO of Giordano's. "I am pleased to host this event in recognizing the Congressman who considers middle-market businesses, employees and their investors when deliberating on public policies in our nation's Capitol."

"It is an honor to receive the ACG Growth Award," said Rep. Quigley. "The hard work, creativity and innovation of middle-market businesses in Chicago and around the country have enabled the middle market to emerge from the Great Recession stronger than ever. In Congress, we need to prioritize policies that facilitate investment in the people and businesses that are primed for growth and seeing them through that success. I look forward to continuing to work with ACG towards this end."

Past recipients of the ACG Growth Award include Congressmen Jim Himes, D-Conn., Robert Hurt, R-Va., Sean Patrick Maloney, D-N.Y., David Schweikert, R-Ariz, and Lamar Smith, R-Texas.

"Congressman Quigley joins an important roster of middle-market supporters that empower middle-market companies to do what they do best–create jobs that make communities healthier and stronger," said Gary A. LaBranche, ACG's president and CEO, "Rep. Quigley is truly a champion of middle-market growth."
