She is also a lead in our legal review function, and provides legal expertise to sister product lines Term Intelligence and FAIR. She was a guest speaker at the ILPA LCON, Washington DC in 2024 and ILPA MCON in Chicago in 2025. Heather joined Preqin in early 2021 and prior to that spent 15 years working in the corporate and private equity groups for Deloitte, Dentons, and Vinson & Elkins in both the UK and China.

Yana M. Mereminsky is a corporate partner based in the New York office and a member of the firm’s Investment Management and Private Equity Groups. Her practice focuses on advising sponsors of private investment funds across a range of strategies, including buyout, middle market and credit funds. Ms. Mereminsky’s recent experience includes acting for clients such as KKR and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. Ms. Mereminsky joined Debevoise in 2015. She received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2015, where she was also the executive online content editor on the Journal of Law and Gender. She received a B.A. summa cum laude from The Ohio State University in 2012.

As a partner in the Investment Funds Group, Caitlin Melchior leads the business and client intelligence efforts for the group, focusing on sourcing and managing the use of market data and identifying market, legal and regulatory trends. With over 15 years in the funds industry as both in-house counsel at large private fund managers and in industry strategy for a leading private markets legal tech provider, Caitlin has developed significant expertise across diverse areas. She manages and maintains Paul, Weiss’s proprietary fund terms database, collaborates directly with clients to identify and implement technological solutions (including AI) for their specific needs, and integrates cutting-edge tools to streamline fund operations while enhancing the group’s capabilities to provide top-of-the-market advice.

In the alternative investments space, Evan has represented institutional investors in their investments over a diverse array of strategies, including venture capital, growth equity, buyout, private credit, subordinated debt, mezzanine equity, infrastructure debt and equity, real estate, timber, cropland, and hedge/open-ended, among others. He also represents clients in the legal matters of co-investments, alternative fund structures, secondary sales, and managing their securities lending, custody agreements, and derivatives trading programs.
