Mike McConnell

Mike leads Hancock Whitney Bank’s growth in the Greater Austin area. In addition to building the Austin team, Mike develops, grows and maintains deposit, treasury management, and lending relationships with Austin-area companies and the owners and executives of those companies. Clients include manufacturers, service companies, non-profits, wholesalers, retailers, private equity firms and independent sponsors.

Mike joined Hancock Whitney Bank in 2022 and has 35+ years of commercial banking experience, including 12 years with Texas Capital Bank in Austin, 11 years with Guaranty Bank in Austin, and 7 years with Bank One in Houston and Austin. Mike is an Austin native and graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 1989, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He teaches financial education to adult skilled trade students through Skillpoint Alliance, and serves on the board of the Central Texas Chapter of the Risk Management Association.
