Sam Shannon

As a Managing Director in Cherry Bekaert's Deal Advisory practice, Sam performs buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for private equity and strategic corporate clients while also seeking to identify and coordinate other beneficial Cherry Bekaert audit, tax or additional advisory services for clients.  

Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Sam advised on numerous buy-side and sell-side engagements in a variety of industries, including various forms of energy, industrial products, manufacturing and distribution, engineering and construction, consumer products, and professional services. In addition, he has significant experience with carve-out transactions, post-closing purchase price adjustment mechanisms and cross border engagements. 

Sam has over 29 years of public accounting experience, of which over 25 years were with a Big Four accounting firm. While there, he was integral to 
the success of the firm's strategy and transactions practice in Texas. Additionally, he spent four years working in an entrepreneurial services audit practice, serving acquisitive middle-market clients with the ambition of a public offering.
