Congressman Juan Vargas serves California’s 51^st Congressional district which includes the southern portion of San Diego County, all of Imperial County and California’s entire U.S./Mexico border.  Vargas was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012 and is currently serving his third term in Congress.  He serves on the House Financial Services Committee, including the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.

In 2016, Juan was named one of the "Hardest-Working Members of Congress" for his close working relationship with the Obama Administration, his bipartisanship, and for his leadership on the Congressional Prayer Breakfast.

Langston C. Emerson is Managing Director at the Cypress Group. Langston brings over 15 years of experience in government affairs consulting with an expertise in financial services. During his career, he represented a spectrum of clients in this sector, including asset management, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and insurance. His in-depth knowledge of the industry has produced many accomplishments in the areas of coalition building, strategy development and implementation, and advocacy on federal legislative and regulatory issues.
