John Caple

Managing Partner

John is Founding Managing Partner at Hidden Harbor, chairs the firm’s Investment Committee, and sets the overall strategic direction for the firm. John has over twenty years of private equity investment and operational experience driving complex business turnarounds and producing top tier investment returns. 

Prior to founding Hidden Harbor, John served as a Partner at Comvest Partners, where he was a leader in the firm’s equity fund, a member of the Executive Committee, and oversaw investments in U.S. Pipe, Sunteck Transportation Group, Innovative Hearth Products and Haggen.

Prior to Comvest, John was an investment professional with H.I.G. Capital. John started his career as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company where he led strategy engagements for various Fortune 500 Companies and due diligence assignments for some of the largest private equity funds in both the United States and Europe.

John holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Matthew Joblove

Sun Capital Partners, Inc.
Vice President

Matthew Joblove is a Vice President at Sun Capital Partners.  Mr. Joblove is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including transaction sourcing, structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing strategies. 

Prior to joining Sun Capital Partners in 2013, Mr. Joblove was an Investment Banking Analyst at Houlihan Lokey. Mr. Joblove graduated with distinction from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a dual-concentration in Finance and Accounting.

Peter J. Sheptak

JM Family Enterprises, Inc.
VP Deputy GC - Finance & Transactions

Peter Sheptak has more than 25 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, investing, corporate finance and strategic planning. In his current position with JM Family Enterprises, Inc. (JM Family), Peter works very closely with senior management and is responsible for all legal and structural aspects of JM Family’s Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategic Planning, and Finance and Treasury functions. In his previous role at JM Family, Mr. Sheptak was the general counsel of World Omni Financial Corp., which is JM Family’s auto finance subsidiary.

Before joining JM Family, Mr. Sheptak was a partner in the law firm of Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge (now known as Locke Lord LLP), where his practice included private equity, venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, buy-outs and debt and equity financing transactions. Before that, he was senior counsel with Ocwen Financial Corporation and an associate at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott.

Mr. Sheptak received his law degree cum laude from Duquesne University and his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife have three children and live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
