Robert Hansen

Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth
Professor of Business Administration

Bob Hansen is a Professor of Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Bob’s expertise is in economics, with a focus on the intersection of economics and public policy. His research, much of it on auction-based markets, has been published in journals such as The American Economic Review, The Rand Journal of Economics, Economic Inquiry, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Business, and Northwestern Law Review. He has taught courses in securities markets and investment banking, investments, the 2007-08 financial crisis, health economics, energy economics, managerial economics, game theory, environmental economics, and public policy. He served as Senior Associate Dean of the Tuck School from 1995-2005 and started both the Business Bridge and Health Care Delivery Science programs.

Bob did his undergraduate work at Northern Michigan University and received an MA and PhD in Economics from UCLA. He was a consultant and manager with The LEK Partnership from 1988-1990, doing work in strategy and M&A for corporate clients.
