Christopher Gidden

Christopher William Gidden

Mr. Gidden is a Managing Director with the investment bank Stephens and leads the firm’s Aerospace & Defense (A&D) strategic advisory efforts and Washington, DC office. He specializes in advising global clients on a range of strategic and financial transactions including strategic business development, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and Capital Market transactions. Mr. Gidden previously held leadership positions at the international investment banks JPMorgan and Moelis & Company in New York and London before joining Stephens in 2016. 

Prior to investment banking, Mr. Gidden served in the U.S. Navy for almost ten years with specialized aviation, naval and ground units and as a NCIS Special Agent. Mr. Gidden retired as a Commander from the U.S. Navy Reserves in 2014. In addition to multiple personal, unit and campaign awards, Mr. Gidden was awarded the Bronze Star and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. 

Mr. Gidden holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with honors from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton Business School). Mr. Gidden is a member of the New York State Bar and holds multiple US and international securities licenses. 

Mr. Gidden is based in Washington, DC with his family and has lived and worked across North America, Europe, and Asia.
